The nice thing we enjoy about vacation rentals is often there is an ability to wash your clothes and less packing when things are stocked such as linens and a stocked kitchen and this cabin does just that! It also has a charcoal grill, and a canoe to use! No need to bring beach chairs or towels, the cabin stocks them so you can have more room in the car for what you really need to bring….the kids and dog of course! Speaking of which, get the kids excited and a peaceful house to yourself-take them to the bunkhouse to sleep! It holds 4.

It’s not just about going to Yellowstone National Park, it’s about the drive getting there.

We often think about what the fastest route to our destination may be, whether it is by plane, train or automobile. What if you could have both? Our new ranch cabin in Montana provides an escape from the crowded tourist areas, nestled in between the Tobacco Root Mountains and the Jefferson River. Think about it. People travel to Montana for the rugged outdoors, not the wild nightlife. Our new cabin listing is Silver Star, Montana (sounds dreamy, right)? Enjoy many outdoor opportunities such as world class trout fishing, mountain biking, skiing, and more. The thrill is everywhere. Want to learn the basics of roping in animals? Enjoy the roping clinics in nearby Twin Bridges.

Channel your inner Lewis and Clarke personas and go on an expedition around the Beaverhead National Forest. Abundant wildlife opportunities are here so be sure to pack your camera. The Lewis and Clarke Caverns are a must see in the area if you can manage a moderate trek to the caverns. This tour is highly rated and lasts about 2 hours.

Lewis and Clarke Caverns

The Tobacco Mountains provide refuge and hot springs for those that love to see the wide vast landscape on a mountain. These mountains are mostly gently for great hiking and biking. One of the warmest hot springs is in the Tobacco Root mountains named Barkell Hot Springs at over 160 degrees.

Tobacco Root Cabin

Your cabin in Silver Star is a log cabin built by the owner, Chip. This classic log cabin in Montana is perfect for your weekend mountain getaway or a chance to see the land of the wild west on your adventure to Yellowstone National Park. This cabin sleeps 6 comfortably. It is located right on the creek for the best trout fishing in the area. Don’t be surprised if you look out and see a moose or a deer on our ranch, our neighbors are friendly! In the evening, enjoy a blanket of stars and a bottle of wine. If it is chilly ( the rental is open year round for snowmobiling and skiing in Montana) then cozy up by the fireplace. Enjoy majestic views of mountains all the way from your Silver Star cabin to Yellowstone National Park. The drive itself is a little over 2.5 hours but totally worth it for your next Montana Cabin Vacation.

Explore all of Yellowstone in a nearby cabin

Simply put, Yellowstone National Park is breathtaking. The world’s first national park is the home to the famous Old Faithful. It is no doubt that Yellowstone is a park that requires at least a week to fully explore lush forests, an active volcano, gushing rivers, the prized Yellowstone Lake, and many diverse species of wildlife, flora and fauna. While discovering Yellowstone, ditch the hard ground, assembling tents, and semi cold coolers and enjoy a nice comfortable stay at a cabin with a mountain view.mts

This cabin in nearby Livingston, Montana is a terrific base camp for your Yellowstone adventure. Choose Mountain View cabin for a comfortable and affordable stay. Look right out the window or deck for a million dollar view of Emigrant Peak and 8 mile creek. This area is known as Paradise Valley, a very popular area known for its vast beauty. Located 4 miles away, Chico Hot Springs offer hot springs pools and kid friendly grille with live entertainment.

The biggest attraction, Yellowstone National Park is a beautiful 34-mile drive from the cabin. The drive follows the Yellowstone River and places you at Roosevelt Arch, the northwest entrance into Yellowstone National Park. While traveling, you will likely see wildlife and the majestic peaks of the Absaroka/Beartooth mountain range the Gallatin Range.
