Snowmobiling in NY tops this year’s must do list this winter

We all like to explore and try different things out but we are calling it the year of the snowmobile. This sport is growing in popularity and we can see why. A chance to glide through white capped foresty with mountains in the background will have us saying “See you later, gator” to the Big Apple and saying “Why hello there” to the areas most known for heavy snowfalls such as the area within Hamilton County. As the summer days start to shorten, we all begin to start thinking ahead to the fall. No fall season can be complete without going on a fall color tour in New York. Upstate New York peaks and dips though the mountains and valleys but that is just part of the fantastic show Mother Nature puts on for us. The robust reds to the golden hues of yellows and oranges, fall color is what it is all about in October. Here are our favorite three areas for fall color:

Finger Lakes Region: This region is known for many things such as boating and wines that can rival the best of the world. This breathtaking landscape is intriguing and tugs the string of the fall lover’s hearts. Travel along Seneca Lake into Watkins Glen for the wineries, the beautiful and majestic Watkins Glen State Park (this is a must see if going in the fall), and views from the lake. The shades of golds and reds cast a refreshing color against a blue backdrop. Lake Placid: For a slightly more thrilling adventure, experience Whiteface Mountain near Lake Placid.
