Your Home Away From Home

Since its complete renovation in 2022, Yellow Cottage has been equipped with modern amenities to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible. The spacious deck, complete with a Weber grill, is perfect for outdoor dining and enjoying the picturesque views of the lake. Inside, the modern Shaker-style kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances you might need, including both Keurig and drip coffee makers. The cottage features two cozy bedrooms with queen-sized beds, central air conditioning, and a convenient washer/dryer. We provide all linens, towels, beach towels, and paper products, so you can pack light and focus on enjoying your vacation.

Lakefront Living at Its Best

Our private dock can accommodate your boat with 3 feet of water depth and 50 feet of broadside dockage. For those who prefer not to bring their own boat, we offer the option to rent an Aqua-Patio pontoon or a JC Tritoon for an additional cost. Spend your days exploring the pristine waters of Gull Lake, whether it’s boating, fishing, swimming, or indulging in water sports. The lake is home to bass, pike, and bluegill, making it a haven for anglers.

  • Maximum occupancy: 5 persons

  • $100 base cleaning charge

Our stringent lease requires a major credit card on hold for the deposit. We ask that you leave the cottage as you find it, with linens washed and folded, and dishes cleaned and put away. Our cleaner will handle the sanitization of all surfaces, and additional cleaning services can be arranged at cost.

Nestled on Burt Lake’s eastern shoreline, CedarStone offers a stunning view of Sturgeon Bay, facing southwest for breathtaking, picturesque sunsets. Enjoy these views from our 100-foot beach and dock, complete with a sun deck.

CedarStone’s beach features a smooth, round stone base with a gradual slope, free from muck, weeds, reeds, snakes, snapping turtles, or suckers. The crystal-clear water is so transparent that, on a calm day, you can drop a shiny quarter off the dock and see if it lands heads or tails!

Conveniently located just five minutes from I-75 at the 313-mile marker exit for M-27 to Topinabee and Cheboygan, CedarStone is about 3.5 hours from the intersection of I-96 and US-23.

Burt Lake is part of the Michigan Inter-Coastal Waterway. This route begins at Crooked Lake, flows through the Crooked River to Burt Lake, then continues via the Indian River under I-75 to Mullet Lake. From Mullet Lake, it travels through the Cheboygan River and finally connects to Lake Huron, just east of downtown Cheboygan.
