The Adirondack Park is truly the sportsman dream come true but even if that isn’t the case, nature lovers, photographers, and historians can truly fall in love with this area. We did! From the many waterways to the plush landscape and curious wildlife, there is something for everyone!

If you like to take to the trails, there are several of them and it’s advisable to stick to them unless you’re highly experienced. There are hundreds of miles of trails to pick from and one of our favorites is the Old Forge Trail. This Trail is great for families!

These Lake George vacation rentals are right on popular lakes! They’ve been visited by the rich and famous dating back all the way to the 19th century. This large lake is quite deep and has sandy shorelines dotted with vacation rentals. This lake can stretch anywhere from 1-3 miles wide. This lake is well known for its hot air balloon attractions. One such highly anticipated event is the annual Hot air balloon event held in Glens Falls, New York. Marking its 40th annual event, this attracts thousands of visitors every year and is considered one of the Top 100 events of the year in the U.S. You can check out the event schedule at



Next we head over to these Lake Placid vacation rentals in the northern part of the Adirondacks. While you are able to do many of the outdoor summer activities there, we at like the winter time here. You can hitch up your ice shanty and go ice fishing with the guys, waiting for the flag to “tip up” and cheers to a great catch.
